Guest Blogger Melanie and The Story of Us!

Hi everyone!  My name is Melanie and I'm in Mrs. Hake's class this year.  I'm extrememely excited to be blogging on her blog.  The projects we do in this class stretch from art projects, to skits, to essays and even timeline pieces.  Sometimes with projects we work with partners and sometimes with groups.  One project we are currently working on as a team:  The History is the Story of Us board.  Each person is not required, but asked to bring in a picture that describes them.  Every person has a story, and with this project we can tell a lot about each other.  We are asked to be creative and pick pictures that say a lot about us. Our goal is to fill up the entire board with pictures: Everyone is welcome, so grab a picture and show the story of YOU to the team!

Look at all the pictures!  The board is not currently finished, but our goal as a team is to fill up the entire thing!

Note from Mrs. Hake:  Bring in your pictures, Team 6 Gold and friends!

Hi Fellow Bloggers:

This is Becky and I am in Mrs. Hake's class. Every one in her class had to do a timeline piece which had to include an important event that happened in history between 1600-1700 and it had to include a drawing, a diagram, a map, or a picture. Then you had to share your piece in front of the class. If your grade was 100%, then you had a good chance to get it on the timeline. The timeline is a huge piece of yellow piece of paper on the wall outside of Mrs. Hake's room. If your piece got on the wall that is great because that means you did what Mrs. Hake expected. If yours didn't get on the timeline, thats ok- it probably means that there were too many people on the timeline or you just missed some points.

There are pictures of the timeline above.
